About the Campaign
Secure Zambia: Uniting Against Crime is a nationwide initiative aimed at combating crime through public awareness, community engagement, and strategic partnerships. This campaign seeks to promote safer communities by involving stakeholders at every level, from grassroots volunteers to national agencies.
Key Responsibilities
As a District Data Officer (DDO), your primary role will be to manage and coordinate data collection, analysis, and reporting for the campaign within your assigned district. Your tasks will include:
- Data Collection and Management
- Gather and compile data related to campaign activities, community engagement, and crime trends in your district.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all collected information.
- Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze collected data to identify patterns, insights, and areas requiring intervention.
- Prepare detailed reports and summaries for the campaign’s leadership team.
- Community Engagement
- Work closely with local stakeholders, including community leaders, law enforcement, and civil society organizations, to facilitate data collection.
- Represent the campaign in district meetings and events, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Collaboration and Coordination
- Collaborate with the central campaign team and other DDOs to maintain consistent data standards and share insights.
- Ensure alignment with the campaign’s objectives and values in all activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of a Grade 12 School certificate; further education in data management, statistics, or a related field is an advantage.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse groups.
- A passion for community development and combating crime.
- Prior experience in data collection, analysis, or project coordination is a plus but not required.
